Music by Jared Field, Book/Lyrics by Jessie Field, Directed by Ari Laura Kreith. Marine biologist and writer Rachel Carson struggled to find her place in the world as a scientist and a gay woman. Her book Silent Spring alerted many to the dangers of DDT and other pesticides, and has been credited with launching the modern environmental movement. This triumphant new musical explores how we take a stand for what matters, even in the face of professional adversity and personal tragedy. FREE! Reservations are strongly encouraged. Sponsored in part by Dina Merrill and Ted Hartley. In the John Drew Theater in the Dina Merrill Pavilion at Guild Hall.

Guild Hall JDT Lab presents Andrew and Andrew Make a Deal with the Devil: Southern Gothic Songs & Stories, a live musical performance. Songwriter Andrew Butler and playwright Andrew Farmer’s distinct musical and storytelling sensibilities share a common origin, they both hail from America’s oft-mythologized southernmost south: Florida! Alums of Ars Nova’s Uncharted music-driven theater residency, they put their distinctly oddball and heartfelt spins on the Southern Gothic tradition. In Andrew & Andrew Make a Deal With the Devil, they’ll share work-in-progress songs and yarns from across their off-kilter and winsome collaborations, including collaborations, including Parkland/Weathers (a sci-fi folk concert), Finn the Fearless (a Floridian fable), and Blessing (a small-town alt-country musical)-among others! FREE! Reservations are strongly encouraged. Sponsored in part by Dina Merrill and Ted Hartley. In the John Drew Theater in the Dina Merrill Pavilion at Guild Hall.

A box collective production written by Matthew Minnicino. A triptych of interlaced interrogations of explosive, uncomfortable, radiant womanhood -- torn from the corridors of fact, the high towers of fantasy, and the endless night sky of pure fiction. 3 women. 3 stories. Inspired by Shakespeare's Macbeth. FREE! Reservations are strongly encouraged. Sponsored in part by Dina Merrill and Ted Hartley. In the John Drew Theater in the Dina Merrill Pavilion at Guild Hall.

This new opera is based on two short Icelandic sagas, the Vinlandic Sagas, which detail the travels of merchants and Vikings to present-day Newfoundland in the 10th Century. The crux of the story concerns two historically-based women, Gudrid and Freydis, who must overcome their differences to achieve common ground. FREE! Reservations are strongly encouraged. Sponsored in part by Dina Merrill and Ted Hartley. In the John Drew Theater in the Dina Merrill Pavilion at Guild Hall.
